Android 17 Beta 3 arrived with sweet new features
The Android 17 Beta 3 is released on March 26th, 2026 for Pixel device testers. The Beta 3 is a remarkable one in the development of Android 17, since Google noted that Android 17 achieved platform stability in this beta.
The Android 17 system stability is very much good in the third beta, according to Beta testers. The Beta 3 contains many new features like improved App bubbles, name-less icons on home screen and better screen recording.
App bubbles is one of the most useful features in Android and many users use the feature on a regular basis. In the Beta 3, Google brought the feature support for every app. So users can long press on any app customize bubbles specific options in that.
Google separated the Wi-Fi and Mobile Data toggles in the Quick Settings in Android 17. So that users can toggle the those connections individually.
Users can hide the app labels in the latest beta 3 on home screen. On long pressing on the home screen, tap on Wallpaper & Style option in the menu appeared. Then toggle off the switch opposite to Show app labels and then the user can enjoy nameless icons on the home screen.
Screen recording got improvements in the latest Beta. The interface of the screen recording feature looks elegant not in still development mode anymore. Options are better visible in the recording window floating toolbar. Users can customize the audio, taps, window size details to make professional screen recordings. The floating recording tool bar will be excluded automatically from the final video and no need for manual editing.
Some other features in this update include support for RAW14 format and expanded dark mode which can be applied for individual apps.
