Android 17 update coming soon for Galaxy S25 FE

Galaxy S25 FE is premium phone from Samsung launched in September 2025 with inbuilt One UI 8 or Android 16 OS. The rollout of One UI 8.5 for S25 FE is in progress, and the next big update for S25 FE is One UI 9 or Android 17.

Google released the first beta of Android 17 in February 2026 for Pixel series. The internal code name of Android 17 is Cinnamon bun, a sweet roll which has roots in North Europe.

Android 17 or One UI 9 Features :

The next major update for Galaxy S25 FE contains many awesome features like customizable Quick Settings, live updates for delivery apps, better Contacts app and so on.

In One UI 9, Samsung also integrated AI features like AI-powered web browsing and many more. According the beta testers, One UI 9 appears cleaner and more decluttered compared One UI 8.5.

Users can customize the size of brightness slider, media player and controls in Quick Settings in One UI 9.

One UI 9 rollout dates for Galaxy S25 FE

Samsung has begun the beta testing of One UI 9 for Galaxy S26 series in select regions as of now. Google is going to release the final version of Android 17 by the end of June 2026 for Pixel devices.

So Galaxy S25 FE users enrolled in Beta program through Samsung Members app, can taste early build of Android 17 beta or One UI 9 in June or July 2026 more likely. However, the users have to wait till August 2026 to try the stable beta of One UI 9 or Android 17.

The final rollout of Android 17 may start for S25 FE devices in October or November 2026 in some regions and spread to remaining regions by the end of December.
